Silver Swan is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Chief Engineer to join our client’s crew and take immediate charge of the engineering operations on their private 48-meter yacht, permanently based in Dubai, UAE. This is an exceptional opportunity for a Chief Engineer to work in a luxurious and exclusive setting, ensuring the yacht's smooth and safe operation, whilst ensuring high levels of maintenance are upheld. Key Responsibilities:

Oversee and manage all engineering systems and equipment on the yacht, including propulsion, electrical, mechanical, and hydraulic systems.

Perform regular maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs to ensure the yacht's systems are in optimal working condition.

Ensure strict compliance with safety and environmental regulations and maintain up-to-date records of all maintenance and repairs.

Collaborate with the yacht's captain and other department heads to coordinate and execute planned maintenance and ensure seamless operations.

Maintain inventory and manage the procurement of spare parts and equipment as needed.

Be prepared to take immediate action in case of emergencies and provide a swift and effective response.

Keep well-informed of the latest developments in marine engineering and recommend upgrades or improvements to enhance the yacht's performance.

Ideal Candidate:

Minimum of 10 years of experience in marine engineering, with a significant portion spent in a leadership role.

Chief Engineer qualification (<3000gt <3000kW) as a minimum requirement.

Proficiency in the operation and maintenance of various marine engineering systems and equipment.

Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to handle emergency situations effectively.

Excellent communication and leadership abilities.

A proactive approach to maintenance and a strong commitment to safety.

Package:

Salary: €10,000 per month (tax-free).

60 days of annual leave.
