Requirements:
STCW + Refresher
ENG1 or current fit for duty marine medical (valid for min. 6 months)
Passport (valid min. 1 year)
Covid vaccination
Clean galley habits
Good provisioning and food storage skills
Easy going and fun to be around
A well planned menu for guests and healthy balanced meals for crew
VISA: B1/B2 visa, Schengen as needed.
Background check and drug testing may apply.
Responsibilities: Cooking for guests and 16 crew. Galley. Working harmoniously with the Interior staff. Provisioning, menu planning.
Job Specifics: Sole Chef - there is no Sous chef on board, however a stewardess helps with prepping crew meals each day for a few hours. The program is not busy. It is private and there are no major food restrictions. Just a couple of crew are vegetarians. The boat is used by owners/guests more often during the fall/winter/spring season in the Bahamas and Caribbean. During the summer months the program is quieter. They have down months where most of the crew alternate to take time off. The primaries are lovely. They enjoy a varied menu.
Salary range: Within yachting salary guidelines depending on experience
Package: Medical coverage, flights to and from the vessel, paid leave, etc. to be finalized during interview process.
